Samut Prakan, April 25, 2025 - R V Connex Co., Ltd., Thailand’s leading defense and security technology innovator, proudly took part in the First Steel-Cutting Ceremony for the Landing Craft Mechanised Vessel (LCM), hosted by Marsun Public Company Limited. The event was held at Marsun’s shipyard and marked a major milestone in strengthening Thailand’s naval and defense manufacturing capabilities.

The ceremony was graced by high-ranking delegates from the Sultanate of Oman, including H.E. Dr. Mohammed Nasser Al Za’abi, Secretary General of the Ministry of Defense, Rear Admiral Saif bin Nasser Al Rahbi, Commander of the Royal Navy of Oman, senior representatives from the Omani Ministry of Defense, and H.E. Issa Abdulla bin Al Alawi, Ambassador of Oman to Thailand.

As part of the event’s special exhibition, RV Connex showcased a range of unmanned aerial systems (UAS) and advanced defense technologies, reinforcing its role in driving innovation across Thailand’s defense ecosystem. On display were:

  • Alpha Tactical Datalink Systems - Installed on Alpha Jet and AT-6 platforms, with operational deployment on the Alpha Jet since 2022 and scheduled AT-6 deployment at Wing 41, Chiang Mai in 2024.
  • JRV-01 Target Drone System - Southeast Asia’s first jet-powered target drone, developed in collaboration with Diehl Defence to simulate aerial threats for IRIS-T missile testing.
  • Sky Scout Tactical UAS - Delivered to the Royal Thai Air Force (RTAF) and fully certified; also selected as the official UAS training platform by the International Test Pilots School (ITPS Canada).
  • Red Kite Surveillance UAS - A next-gen reconnaissance platform equipped with autonomous navigation and advanced sensor integration for real-time situational awareness.
  • Pathum Mini UAS - A lightweight, field-ready solution for tactical operations and mission-specific surveillance.

This occasion underscored the importance of collaboration between domestic and international stakeholders in elevating regional defense capabilities. For RV Connex, it was a valuable opportunity to highlight Thailand’s progress in aerospace, autonomous systems, and integrated defense technologies.
