Minister of Industry Visits RV Connex — Driving Thailand’s Industrial Advancement Toward a Future of Technology and Innovation
12 October 2025
On Sunday, October 12, 2025, Dr. Thanakorn Wangboonkongchana, Minister of Industry, together with his delegation, visited R V Connex Co., Ltd. to receive a briefing and tour the company’s advanced facilities. The visit included the Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) production line, composite and metal component manufacturing for aircraft, the Cyber Security Operations Center (CSOC), the Surface Mount Technology (SMT) electronic assembly line, and the Clean Room for satellite component assembly and testing. The delegation was warmly welcomed by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sujate Jantarang, President of RV Connex, along with the company’s executive management team.
RV Connex is recognized as an exemplary Thai enterprise that aligns with the Ministry of Industry’s policy framework of “Overcome, Eliminate, Attract, and Drive.” In particular, the company supports the “Drive” initiative, which focuses on developing Future/New S-Curve industries — enhancing technological capabilities, upskilling the workforce, and propelling Thailand toward a new era of industrial innovation.
The company has incorporated Artificial Intelligence (AI) into its operations, developing a Managed Detection and Response (MDR) system that leverages AI/ML-powered Threat Analytics for deep behavioral analysis and automated reporting. Additionally, RV Connex has designed a Fraud Detection System that employs AI to monitor and detect suspicious financial transactions with near real-time precision.
In alignment with the “Attract” policy emphasizing investment in the Bio-Circular-Green (BCG) Economy, RV Connex has placed strong emphasis on clean energy initiatives. The company has partnered with HevenDrones to co-develop hydrogen-powered UAVs, installed solar cell systems within its facilities to enhance energy efficiency, and is conducting ongoing research on fuel cell systems for aviation applications.
The company is also actively advancing battery technology and Battery Management Systems (BMS) — focusing on diagnostics, maintenance, and life-cycle extension — as well as R&D in EV power systems, supporting Thailand’s transition toward a sustainable clean-energy future.
During the visit, Dr. Thanakorn commended RV Connex as a model of a Thai organization equipped with advanced technologies and highly skilled professionals, reflecting the government’s vision to strengthen industrial self-reliance and sustainable development.
“The defense industry plays a vital role in both national security and economic development, with significant growth potential in the global market. It is driven by advanced innovations that can be extended or adapted across various industrial sectors, generating substantial domestic value and reducing reliance on imported defense equipment,”
“RV Connex possesses strong capabilities across multiple dimensions, but challenges remain — such as high testing costs, supply chain risks, global competition, and shortages of specialized personnel including software engineers and cybersecurity experts. This visit reaffirms the government’s commitment to supporting Thai enterprises in overcoming these challenges, enhancing global competitiveness, and reinforcing national technological resilience.” said Dr. Thanakorn.
RV Connex’s vision is to “Foster a Sustainable Ecosystem through Self-Reliance.” The company remains dedicated to strengthening Thailand’s innovation and technological capabilities, transferring knowledge to the next generation, and driving the nation’s industrial development toward a stable and sustainable future.
