8 April 2026 – R V Connex Co., Ltd. has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Defense Research Operation Network Co., Ltd. to jointly develop prototypes, conduct research, and test defense technologies. The collaboration aims to enhance national capabilities and drive the commercialization of defense innovations.

The MoU was signed by Ms. Wantha Wangthanasakul, Director of R V Connex Co., Ltd., and Mr. Phanupan Phokamas, Director of Defense Research Operation Network Co., Ltd., with Air Chief Marshal Manat Wongwat, President of Industry for National Defense & Security Association (INDSA), serving as a witness.

This partnership focuses on integrating the strengths, resources, and expertise of both organizations to advance research and development in defense and security technologies in alignment with national strategies and the Royal Thai Army White Paper 2024. Key focus areas include unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), advanced weapon systems, artificial intelligence (AI), network-centric and electronic warfare, space technologies, and cybersecurity.

Both parties will collaborate on knowledge exchange, technology transfer, and the provision of personnel, facilities, and equipment to support the development of research outcomes through testing, certification, and industrial-scale production. The initiative also aims to expand applications across government and private sectors, both domestically and internationally, under dual-use frameworks.

The MoU is effective for a period of five years, from 8 April 2026 to 8 April 2031. A joint committee will be established to oversee, monitor, and ensure the effective implementation of collaborative projects.

This collaboration marks a significant step forward in advancing Thailand’s indigenous innovation ecosystem—spanning research, design, manufacturing, and commercialization—while strengthening both national security and long-term economic resilience.
