Nonthaburi, 8 July 2026 — R V Connex Co., Ltd. and Chaiseri Metal and Rubber Co., Ltd. today announced their formal strategic collaboration at the Thailand Defence Industry Exhibition 2026 (THAIDEF-EX 2026), held at the Office of the Permanent Secretary for Defence (Si Saman), Nonthaburi, Thailand. Senior executives from both companies commemorated the occasion with an official photo session.

The collaboration aims to jointly develop and deliver a vehicle-mounted mobile radar system integrated with a Command and Control (C2) platform, designed to support low-altitude air surveillance, early warning, and air defence missions for the Royal Thai Army's Air Defense Artillery Battalion and other air defense units.

The system comprises four core components: the Radar Control Panel incorporating RV Connex's Command and Control (C2) system; the advanced battle proven exMHR AESA radars by DRS RADA Technologies Ltd.; a power generator; and a tactical vehicle platform supplied by Chaiseri. The system is designed as a fully mobile, vehicle-mounted solution for field deployment. The collaboration is scheduled to run from 2027 to 2029.

Group Captain Kanputt Mungklasiri, Vice Executive Chairman of R V Connex Co., Ltd., stated: "This collaboration with Chaiseri represents a defining moment for Thailand's defence industry — proof that Thai companies can integrate advanced defence capabilities end-to-end, from armoured platforms to command systems, demonstrating Thailand's ability to transform advanced defence technologies into an indigenous operational capability. This is what true defence sovereignty looks like."

Ms. Nardwadee Watanakij, VP Innovation of R V Connex Co., Ltd., added: "The C2 system we have developed is more than software — it is the intelligence layer that fuses radar and sensor data into a single real-time operational picture. Developing this in Thailand, integrated onto a Thai-built platform, means we can evolve, maintain, and upgrade the system throughout its entire lifecycle with reduced reliance on foreign technologies and suppliers."

This announcement marks a significant step in Thailand's strategic push to strengthen its domestic defence supply chain — reducing dependence on foreign technologies and equipping the Royal Thai Armed Forces with systems designed, developed, and integrated by Thai expertise.
