RV Connex Joins "AI and Economic Advancement" Forum — Showcasing End-to-End UAV Development Capability Built by Thai Engineers
19 August 2026
Bangkok, 18 August 2026 — R V Connex Co., Ltd. participated in the seminar "AI and Economic Advancement", jointly organised by King Mongkut's University of Technology North Bangkok (KMUTNB) and Bangkok Today News Agency, at the Benjarat Hall, Navamintrarachini Building, King Mongkut's University of Technology North Bangkok. The seminar brought together leading voices from government, finance, and industry to exchange perspectives on the role of artificial intelligence and advanced technology in elevating Thailand's capabilities and driving the nation's economic growth.
On this occasion, RV Connex presented both its products and its research, development, and manufacturing capabilities in unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV) — demonstrating the full potential of Thai engineering to develop technology from conceptual knowledge and design through to testing and production-ready systems.
A centrepiece of the exhibition was RV Connex's end-to-end UAV development process — from requirements definition and standards setting, conceptual and detailed design, aerodynamic and structural engineering analysis, prototype construction, testing and certification, and flight testing, through to full-scale production. This process reflects the company's capability to translate domestic engineering knowledge into technology and products that are genuinely deployable in the field.
Among the technologies exhibited was the Autopilot System — an unmanned aircraft control system developed entirely in-house, encompassing hardware, control systems, and software. Developing this critical technology domestically reduces dependence on foreign systems and enhances the ability to control, refine, and evolve the system in line with mission requirements and user needs.
Also on display was the T-OR (Tor) FPV Drone with a Joystick control unit, presented under the concept of Dual-Use Technology — applicable to both security missions and civilian applications. The platform reflects the rapid advancement of FPV technology and the versatility of compact systems that can be tailored to specific operational requirements.
Completing the exhibition was the TITUM M2-200, a large Multi-Rotor unmanned aircraft designed to support a wide range of missions — including logistics and cargo transport, disaster relief operations, and security missions — demonstrating a platform development approach that can be adapted to the specific demands of each use case.
During the event, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sujate Jantarang, President of R V Connex Co., Ltd., presented the company's technologies and capabilities, and shared perspectives on the importance of building domestic knowledge and technological capability — so that Thailand can design, develop, and control strategically significant technology on its own terms.
RV Connex was also honoured to welcome Prof. Dr. Yodsanan Wongsawat, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation, who visited the company's exhibition and received a direct briefing on its technology. The company further had the opportunity to exchange knowledge and visit the Center of Aircraft and Defense Technology (CADeT) of King Mongkut's University of Technology North Bangkok — a dedicated research and development facility for aircraft and defence technology.
RV Connex's participation in this event reflects its commitment to connecting industry, academia, and government — to exchange knowledge, support research and development, and translate technology from the laboratory to real-world application, while building the talent and institutional knowledge that form the long-term foundation of Thailand's technological capability.
RV Connex extends its sincere gratitude to King Mongkut's University of Technology North Bangkok and Bangkok Today News Agency for the opportunity to be part of this important platform, and looks forward to fruitful collaboration with the university and partners across all sectors — in advancing the knowledge, people, and technology that will benefit Thailand for years to come.
