RV Connex Welcomes TSRI and DSTD for a Review of Thailand's Dual-Use Technology Capability
15 September 2026
On 15 September 2026, R V Connex Co., Ltd. welcomed a delegation from Thailand Science Research and Innovation (TSRI), led by Prof. Dr Sompong Klaynongsruang, Director of TSRI, together with representatives from the Defence Science and Technology Department (DSTD), Ministry of Defence, for a visit to the company's research, development and production facilities at RV Connex’s head office in Pathum Thani.
The visit was arranged to exchange technical knowledge and to build a shared understanding of dual-use technology, capability applicable to both civilian and security domains, and how it can inform the direction of Thailand's national science, research and innovation agenda.
Research and development in security and defence technology has grown steadily in importance, particularly in dual-use applications that carry knowledge and innovation from the civilian sector into security use. This pathway strengthens technological self-reliance, reduces dependence on foreign imports, and opens routes for research to reach industrial and commercial scale.
The delegation toured the company's Cable Harness Production line; the Cyber Security Operations Centre (CSOC), which monitors and responds to cyber threats in real time to protect organisational data and information systems; a range of unmanned aerial vehicles across small, medium and large classes serving both security and civilian missions, including the K-18M and the ARUN Tactical Surveillance UAS; and the Composite Production line for unmanned aircraft components, together with its autoclave curing facility.
RV Connex remains committed to working alongside government agencies to strengthen Thailand's science, research and innovation capability, and to carrying research through to industrial-scale production in support of the country's long-term technological security.
